Last week I was honoured to be a signing author at Books by the Bridge in Sydney. All I can say is wow! The event was amazing and I got to catch up with lots of awesome readers, some old friends and had the chance to make lots of new ones. But my trip to Sydney also offered another opportunity. To be honest the idea of what laid ahead of me scared the beejeezus out of me, but if I could succeed my dreams would be within my reach.
In times like these I often ask the Universe to give me a sign as to which way to go. Do I face my fear and go into the meeting? After all it was only a meeting, how hard could that be? Or should I decline, breathe easier and enjoy my afternoon? I know which appealed to my anxiety the most!
Now I’m not doubting the Universe as it always sends me the sign I ask for. However, I’m not always great at interpreting it! But just occasionally it’s so obvious even I can’t misinterpret it, because just when I doubted myself and my abilities, considered declining the opportunity, and go sight-seeing instead, an email from someone I highly respect and admire popped into my inbox, giving me the courage to go forward with confidence and a smile.
I don’t know what will come from that meeting. I’ll have to wait to see what the Universe has in store for me, but I would like to say thank you for the fact that this sign was so obvious even I couldn’t miss it. But most importantly I would like to say a very BIG thank you to that amazing person for that email.
